What is Varicocele?

Varicocele is the enlarged veins within the loose bag of skin that comprises the testicles. It is just similar to Varicose Veins which appear around testicles instead of legs or feet. These veins won’t cause any serious health complications, but may adversely affect the fertility of males. It is the common cause of lower sperm production and quality and hence causing male infertility. But, you need to understand that not all Varicocele veins lower sperm production. It can hamper the normal development of testicles and may also shrink over time. They develop over time and easy to diagnose. Some of the conditions may not need any treatment, while in some cases it is repaired surgically.

What are the Symptoms of Varicocele!

Initially, Varicocele shows no symptoms or signs. But in some cases, it may cause pain and it may:

• Increase when standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time
• Increase during physical exertion
• Vary from dull to sharp discomfort
• Impaired male fertility
• Pain alleviates when lying on the back
